A post from our friends at Trinity Lutheran…

Here’s another thing that puts the West Bank on the map.  Where else can you experience true interfaith relationships and conversations?

Representatives of Dar Al-Hijrah, the Common Table of Augsburg College, and Trinity Lutheran Congregation have come together to offer interfaith conversations.  The goal is, in part, to learn about the faiths of our neighbors.  But it is about far more than hearing or reading information we could get on Wikipedia.

Interfaith at Common Table is about building relationships.  In a world where we only hear that we cannot trust people of other faiths and that we should hate each other, we are coming together and proving that wrong.  Each Tuesday we come together and get to know each other, hear each others stories and……..become friends!

Come any Tuesday, 6:30 – 8:30 pm.  The group meets in the Common Table (2001 Riverside, the lower level of Trinity’s building, the old St. Martins’ space).  Come for conversations that spring up from the group present and reflect on what’s happening in the world and reflections based on how one’s faith or non-faith experience informs you.  Second Tuesdays of the month include a meal.  All others include some excellent Somali tea!

We can make the world a better place, starting here.
