The Cedar Cultural Center is an international music venue housed in the Cedar-Riverside area of Minneapolis, on 416 Cedar Ave. with Riverside Ave. being it’s cross street.

In the early 1940’s the space used to serve as a movie theatre. Over time, the theatre evolved into a dance studio and by 1989, a new owner took over and The Cedar was born.

This venue is dedicated to promoting inter-cultural appreciation and understanding through its presentation of global music and dance. Annually, The Cedar hosts over 200 concerts performed by artists locally, nationally, and internationally. Some of the various genres include global roots, folk, indie, experimental, jazz, and blues.

While The Cedar hosts many shows throughout the year, a majority of the assistance they receive is composed of passionate volunteers.

Check out The Cedar to see what kind of cultural experience you will have next!
