The 10th Avenue Bridge over the Mississippi River is in need of repairs. This historic bridge provides an important link across the Mississippi River for vehicles
as well as bicyclists and pedestrians. A rehabilitation study is underway now to identify the work needed to preserve the bridge, with construction expected to start in 2014. Come find out more about the bridge, and give us your input on the study. Information regarding historic properties will also be presented, and the public will have the opportunity to comment on historic properties and the project’s potential effects to them.
For more information, visit www.10thAveRiverBridge.com. If you aren’t able to attend but would like to comment on the project, please email Meseret Wolana at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Download the event flyer (which includes some rad historical photos of the bridge’s construction in 1929!), and if you’re interested in Minneapolis history check out the Wikipedia article on the 10th Ave Bridge.
